Dolphin Marine Conservation - Pet Porpoise Pool Pty Ltd is pleased to offer volunteer, work experience and work placement opportunities to individuals who wish to gain practical knowledge working with animals and who share our passion for conservation of animals, particularly marine mammals and their environment. 

Dolphin Marine Conservation Park has been open for over 50 years now and provides a unique and extremely interactive animal experience for our guests. We believe that by doing this, we are encouraging our visitors to share our passion for the conservation of the world's marine mammals and their environment

  • TAFE/Open Colleges students requiring work placement - Currently we are completely booked for the remainder of 2019. We are also fully booked for all Tafe/Open Colleges work placements for 2020.
  • High School Work Experience Program - Open to high school students year 10 & above. Currently fully booked for the remainder of 2019.                            Applications are now open for spots in our 2020 program. Please download and complete the Volunteer Application form below, all applications must be emailed to volunteer@dmcvp.com.au. Please note due to the limited number of spaces in our program we may not be able to guarantee your requested dates, we also do not run our work experience program during the NSW school holidays.
 
Successful applicants for the work experience program will commence with 'hands on' experience working in various areas of an animal park.
 
Students will take part in duties such as: cleaning enclosures, assisting with food prep, assisting with crowd control and helping guests in show participation, assisting in reef tank and Little penguin feeding, assisting in feeding animals, care of aquariums, cleaning of food buckets and fish kitchen, etc.
 
You may also gain the opportunity to work closely with Dolphin Marine Rescue - Animal Rehab Trust and care for some of the sick and injured wildlife we have here at the park.
 
The work placement hours are from 8.30am to 3.45pm with a one hour lunch and takes place over a 5 day period from Monday through to Friday.

Due to a high demand for participation in our programmes and the limited places, persons wishing to take part in the programmes are requested to complete the Volunteer Application Form (PDF) and submit it via email. 

Please be aware that due to the popularity of our work placement program we may be fully booked up to 12 months in advance.
