Marine Discovery Presentation + Session Times

All our guests in the park are welcome to join us in the following presentations and encounters to learn about all the different species of animals we have here at DMCP as well as the threats their wild counterparts experience out in the wild and how we can all work together to protect them and their environment.

The following encounters and presentations are part of your admission fee with no extra cost. The photographs are at extra cost but you are not obliged to purchase any photos. If you wish to purchase the photos they will be available after the interactions at the photo counter as well as online and the proceeds help DMCP with the conservation and rehabilitation efforts.

Please listen out for announcements around the park as we have many training sessions and fun animal play sessions happening around the park in between the presentations.

 

Creekside cafĂ© opens at 7:30am daily & has an extensive menu & take away options. 

Park gates open at 9am and close at 3pm every day of the year.

Research & education marquee - open daily 

Head to the research & education marquee in our garden where you will see some amazing displays & might have the opportunity to meet one of the team from Dolphin Marine Rescue & hear about their exciting rescue, rehabilitation & release work as well as future plans for Coffs Harbours first Wildlife Hospital!

Penguin Brekky at penguin beach @9.30am

At DMCP we have the smallest species of penguins called the Little Blue penguins. These little guys are very cheeky and love fish! Join us at Penguin Beach, meet our penguins and learn what you we can do to help native wildlife.

Dolphin Greeting at Discovery Stadium @ 10am

Get to know about our dolphin ambassadors here at the park in a free poolside interaction which may include belly pats, vocals, splashing, training talk & conservation messages about our animals. Be warned you will get wet!!!

Wildlife Hospital tour @ 10.30am

Meet one of the DMCP animal care team members at the entrance to our marine animal rehab area where you will be taken on a tour & learn about the common threats to marine life in this area & what you can do to help! You may also get the chance to see wild animals on their road to recovery.

Our cheeky seals love cuddles and pats and we would like to share that experience with all of our guests in the park. Please join us at Seal Garden where our professional photographer will be ready to capture the magical moment of you cuddling a seal.

Marine Discovery Presentation everyday @11.30am 

Please join us at Discovery Stadium for our seal and dolphin presentation where you will listen to a Dreamtime Story & learn about the animals and the care that they receive. Our animals will show off their natural behaviours as well as some other fun behaviours they have learned from their trainers. We hope that our animals and trainers will inspire as many people as possible to do as much as they can to reduce pollution that harms the marine environment.

Solitary Reef - Fish, Shark & Ray Feeding @ 12pm 

Solitary Reefs feeding interaction is a great opportunity for little and big kids to have some fun getting splashed whilst feeding some fish. Our trainers will tell you all about or turtle rehabilitation program as well as the beautiful Solitary Island Marine Park of the Coffs Coast.
